Window Renovation Project

After taking part in a Mystery Shopper scheme organised by Northampton Town BID, we decided to act on some of the comments we received, overall they were great! But one stood out to us and that was that the shop seemed a little dark and dingy…we spent lots of money over the years on bright lighting but having blocked the light coming in from the large front window to be able to use it as a secure display area meant that we sacrificed the use of all that natural lighting!

So work began! We still wanted to create a secure area, so decided to put two large glass windows in the existing wall, and also install a glass pane door!

We also changed the shelving system to one against the window which we have noticed a massive difference with people stopping and looking at the items we have for sale!

Here is the progress so far, it still needs some paint work doing!

But we are all ready noticing how nice it feels inside now with all the extra light! And it’s great for the staff to be able to see out!
